As the name indicates, a sealed system is a an enclosed system therefore no expansion water tanks are needed. There are no tanks or pipework in the attic, the whole system is sealed, its unvented, which has its benefits:.

- As there are no pipes, they cannot freeze up in the attic.

- loft space is freed up and pipe maintenance is reduced.

- The risk of leakage is diminished as there are fewer pipes and the system is less complex.

- As there are no open vents, air cannot enter into the system and so the risk of corroding, air locks and sludge is drastically reduced.

- Can be easily rinsed out under pressure via the main water supply.

Such a Sealed Central Heating System is installed with all the required gauges, controls and safeguards. The water for a sealed Central Heating System is supplied direct from the main water supply. It feeds directly from the main water supply.

Normal variations of pressure can be allowed in a sealed system through a pressure vessel that contains compressed gas; this is separated from the sealed system water by a diaphragm. Pressure buildup in a Sealed system can be relieved by a safety valve which drains out water; and pressure drop is compensated by automatic fresh intake of water via another valve.

Central Heating Systems are a worthwhile investment as they have the lowest cost of performance when compared with other types of heating. They offer you a lot more control of your home environment than the other heating systems.
